Diane Devenyi has taken an indirect route to educational reform. A former taxation lawyer, she was seeking ways to improve her family’s experience of school in 1999, and found herself introducing herself at a literacy workshop by stating that she was there because she was committed to revamping education on the planet!
Since that day, Diane has run pilot projects in schools, earned a Masters of Education degree, founded a summer camp, given learning workshops for students, parents, teachers, and companies, and presented at many educational conferences.
Today, Diane is still passionate about educational reform. Her message is that we all can learn, unlearn and relearn in fun and surprising ways to create a world that works for everyone. Her first book, “Hey Genius, Your Letter Dis-order is Showing”—the truth about poor spelling, messy handwriting and reading and writing issues is in the final publication stages.
